Call for Contributions
We invite early-career researchers and students working on robots for living environments to contribute, especially work on long-term deployment, gentle interaction with organisms, sustainable materials, or collaboration with local communities. Contributions can come from any field, including robotics, biology, ecology, and the social sciences.
Early-career talks (7 to 9 min): submit a two-page extended abstract, plus references. Each talk is followed by a round table open to the audience.
Student flash talks and posters (3 min, one slide): submit a one-slide summary of your work. Posters stay on display for the whole workshop.
Robot Zoo: share photos or videos of a robot built for the field. Selected robots will appear in the online gallery and in the workshop’s Robot Zoo picture.
Videos and live demonstrations are welcome in any format, and we want the discussion to focus on what your robot does in the real world. We plan to run the workshop in person, and remote presentations will be considered. Accepted contributions will be posted on the workshop website but will not appear in the IEEE proceedings. Awards will recognise the best student and early-career contributions.
Please submit both your abstract by sending it as a .zip file directly to luca.romanello@epfl.ch, huy.pham@empa.ch
